Introduction

Rees William Davis was born in Glamorgan, Wales. He married Margaret Walters there and they had seven children.

Rees and Margaret were converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Glamorgan, Wales.

They decided to join the saints in Utah and boarded a ship called the Chimborazo for America.

When they finally reached Springville, Utah, Margaret died. She is buried in the Springville, Utah Cemetery.

Rees then married Susannah Garlick Wakefield in Springville. Susannah had lost her husband in Council Bluffs, Iowa before they were able to cross the plains to Utah. Susannah crossed the plains with her 7 children and finally made it to Springville.

Rees married Susannah in Springville, Utah. He died shortly thereafter in Springville.

Then, James David Davis, was born in Springville. He was the only child of Rees and Susannah.
